Consider volunteering for an event that honors the beautiful vistas of Southern California’s Camarillo farmlands and Malibu coast...

Volunteer for the Malibu International Marathon on November 14-16, 2014!

All volunteers will receive a souvenir t-shirt for their participation* as well as the warm feeling that comes from supporting our runners on their 26.2-mile journey to Zuma Beach and helping us raise funds for some great charities.

We truly cannot put on this event without the help and hard work of our volunteers. If you or anyone you know would like to have a great time while doing good and earning some community service hours, send them our way. We have a number of positions open from Camarillo to Zuma Beach that are great for individuals and groups alike.

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

EXPO: FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2014

  • Packet Pickup: Shift 1--9:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Packet Pickup: Shift 2--1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Venue Set Up: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
EXPO: SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2014

  • Packet Pickup: Shift 1--9:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Packet Pickup: Shift 2--1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Venue Set Up: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
RACE DAY: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2014

  • Start Line Crew, Marathon: 6:00 am - 8:00am
  • Start Line Crew, Half Marathon: 6:00 am - 8:00 am
  • Water Station 1: 5:45 am - 8:30 am
  • Water Station 2: 6:15 am - 9:30 am
  • Water Station 3: 6:15 am - 9:30 am
  • Water Station 4: 6:30 am - 10:15 am
  • Water Station 5: 6:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Water Station 6: 6:30 am - 10:45 am
  • Water Station 7: 6:15 am - 11:45 am
  • Water Station 8: 6:15 am - 11:30 am
  • Water Station 9: 6:30 am - 12:00 pm
  • Water Station 10: 6:45 am 12:00 pm
  • Water Station 11: 6:45 am - 12:30 pm
  • Water Station 12: 6:45 am - 12:30 pm
  • Water Station 13: 7:00 am - 12:45 pm
  • Water Station 14: 7:00 am -1:00 pm
  • Water Station 15: 7:15 am - 1:30 pm
  • Water Station 16: 7:15 am - 1:30 pm
Note: Water stations are best for groups, such as sports teams, community service groups, fraternities and sororities, or local business. Each group leader will need to recruit a team of 10-15 volunteers and manage the station during the day.

Finish Line

  • Parking and Vendor Guides: 4:30 am - 7:30 am
  • Gear Check: 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Post Food & Fluid: 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Medals & Towels Distribution: 7:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • Clean Up Crew: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm

*Volunteer shirt and sizing are not guaranteed. Volunteers working more than five (5) hours will receive a meal during their shift. Groups that take on a water station can submit a group logo for inclusion on our official course map and decorate their water station however they wish (including advertising for their group with an organizational banner). All groups that volunteer are permitted and encouraged to wear their organization's apparel.
